I wanted to share a couple more Button Monograms I recently made.
You can see my blog post where I posted the first two I made here.
Here's one I made for my friend Lisa's little girl Ali. It's a gift for Ali's first birthday (she'll be turning one on March 15th). I'm hoping Ali doesn't read my blog and ruin the surprise (ha ha!). I made Ali's Button Monogram using reds, pinks, greens and yellows.
I made the 'W' for my cousin Bobbie. Bobbie is Granny's niece, so techincally she's my first cousin once removed. I tried a little something different on Bobbie's... I added 'The Wentz Family, est. 1967 (the year she and her husband got married). I also didn't add mini brads to the little flowers on this one.
I made the 'W' for Bobbie as part of a 'Handmade Pay It Forward'. On Facebook, there was a copy-and-paste thing going around where you volunteered to make something handmade for the first five people to respond. BUT! Those five people who responded ALSO had to post the same thing and make five handmade things for another five people. I loved the concept. I loved that it encouraged creativity and promoted acts of kindness! I have all of 2102 to make something handmade for my five recipients. I'm 20% done! So, Bernie, Alison, Stephanie M. and Caroline (my other four recipients)... what do you think about buttons? LOL! Just kidding!
